A Little More About Me

My love of Yoga originated from my personal experience with the healing power of a regular practice. In the late 1980s, I became involved with fitness, weight lifting and teaching step aerobics which became an integral part of my life.

After 20 years of working out and disregarding any advice to include stretching in my routine, a serious back injury brought my workout routine to a screeching halt. After a great deal of physical therapy with little result, one of my therapists said that I was so tight everywhere Yoga would be a good way to help my back and improve my overall fitness.

I found more relief in three weeks of Yoga than I had in three months of physical therapy.  An additional byproduct of my new Yoga practice was a marked improvement in my mental state. I was so happy with the benefits of Yoga that I feel the need to share this amazing practice.

Having been at the same studio for over a decade, I have loved seeing many new students progress in their practice as well. I believe that Yoga has the ability to greatly impact a child’s development and have wanted to work with kids for many years.  Recently, I started my training with Sonya Sumar and her Yoga for the Special Child certification.  

​

I am looking forward to showing my love of Yoga with you in person or on Zoom. I now have a special Greenhouse Yoga Studio to perform my lessons.
